Ukrainian Stuffed Peppers – Recipe for 4 Servings

Ingredients:

  • 700 g bell peppers (4 pieces)

  • 500 g mixed ground meat

  • 100 g rice

  • 135 g onions

  • 60 g carrots

  • 40 g tomato paste

  • 20 ml cream

  • 4 g salt

  • 2 g pepper

  • 2 g paprika powder

  • 6 g parsley

  • 4 g sugar

Instructions:

  1. Cook the rice according to the package instructions and set aside.

  2. Finely chop the onions and carrots.

  3. Brown the ground meat in a pan. Add the chopped onions and carrots and sauté together with the meat.

  4. Add the tomato paste, salt, pepper, paprika powder, and sugar. Stir well and let it simmer for a few minutes.

  5. Add the cooked rice and mix thoroughly.

  6. Wash the bell peppers, cut off the tops, and remove the seeds.

  7. Evenly fill the bell peppers with the meat mixture and place the tops back on.

  8. Place the stuffed peppers in a baking dish. Pour the cream over them and sprinkle with parsley.

  9. Bake the stuffed peppers in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 40–45 minutes, until the peppers are soft.
